REGULATIONS: THE CYCLIST'S CODE
Nomadix Adventure Ocean to Ocean 2024 is an off-road cycling challenge that tests endurance and competitive spirit. It is structured into three stages, each with its own challenges and rewards. 7.1. It is the athlete's responsibility to follow the directions to reach the meeting point.

COMPETITION FORMAT
1.1. Participants who do not finish a stage or arrive outside the established time may continue to the next stage, but their time will not be accumulated for the overall classification.
1.2. The spirit of the challenge is perseverance and endurance; however, each stage is vital for the classification.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
2.1. Participants must be at least 18 years old at the time of the event.
2.2. The category in which each participant competes will be determined by their age as of December 31, 2024.
2.3. For a category to be officially recognized, there must be at least 5 registered pairs. If not, categories with fewer registrations will be moved up to the next one.

INTEGRITY IN COMPETITION
3.1. The use of prohibited substances will result in immediate disqualification and loss of the right to continue to the following stages.
3.2. Deviating from the official route with the intention of gaining an advantage will result in disqualification.

COMPETITOR IDENTIFICATION
4.1. Numbers provided by the organization must be clearly visible on the helmet, jersey, and front of the bicycle.
4.2. The adhesive with altimetry and key points of the route must be placed in a visible location on the bicycle. It is the cyclist's responsibility to follow the marked route.

CHECKPOINTS AND TIMINGS
5.1. There will be established checkpoints along the route, with time limits.
5.2. Arriving beyond the time limit at a checkpoint will result in the participant being stopped and transported to the camp.
5.3. Participants may upload the routes to their GPS devices. A technical support team will be available for assistance.

STARTS
6.1. The start control will open one hour before the scheduled start and close fifteen minutes before.
6.2. Starts will be in waves, according to modality and category.
6.3. Passing through the start arch is mandatory.

ARRIVAL AND CLASSIFICATIONS
7.1. It is the athlete's responsibility to follow the directions to reach the meeting point.
7.2. The scoring table will be distributed as follows: to be determined.

SUPPLY AND ENVIRONMENT
8.1. Hydration will be provided daily at the beginning and end, and there will be supply points along the route. You can find:
- Water
- Isotonic drinks
- Ice
- Energy snacks
- Vaseline
- Checkpoints
- Medical service
8.2. Each participant is responsible for their waste. Discarding garbage outside designated areas will result in a penalty.

BICYCLE SPECIFICATIONS
9.1. MTB (Mountain Bike)
- Bicycles specifically designed for mountainous terrain and trails.
- Must have at least one suspension (front or full).
- Tires cannot exceed 2.5 inches in width.
- Aero bars or triathlon handlebars are not allowed.
9.2. E-Bike (Electric Bicycles)
- These bicycles are equipped with an auxiliary electric motor that assists pedaling.
- Only motors with a maximum power of 250W and that do not provide assistance above 25 km/h are allowed.
- e-Bikes are not considered for competition, so participants in this category will not be classified. Their participation is purely recreational and for enjoyment.
- You are solely responsible for managing your battery's charge and bringing your charger. Electric supply zones will be available for recharging your battery along the route. However, during the ride, we recommend conserving your battery in eco mode until it is necessary to increase assistance.
